Improvement Palooza 2026

We had an amazing time at the seventh annual Improvement Palooza, Unifying NICU Care, Empowering Families: Translating Knowledge into Action, bringing together multidisciplinary NICU teams, parent partners, and leaders from across California for a day of connection and collaboration.
This year spotlighted innovative, family-centered strategies—addressing health-related social needs, improving pain management and palliative care, and strengthening partnerships with families. Also for the first time, all attendees gathered together Wednesday afternoon for joint learning sessions with our partners from CAN and SoNPM, including a panel on Communication and Connection in the NICU and a keynote from our very own Dr. Susan Hintz on improving the NICU-to-HRIF transition.
