Sandra Lombardi’s entire nursing career has had a heartfelt focus on and commitment to infants and their families. Sandra’s journey began when I graduated from San Francisco State University with her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and Public Health Nurse Certification.  The intensive care nursery then became her professional home for years.  In 1991, she obtained her certification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).  Sandra has enjoyed incorporating this certification within the NICU and as a community educator.  Her strong interest in care coordination and advocacy inspired her to become a Certified Case Manager (CCM) in 2013.  Sandra has been in the role of High Risk Infant Follow-up Coordinator at Lucile Packard’s Children’s Hospital since February 2014.
