
In her day job, Silvia Bor is Senior Director of Pacific Environment’s Marine Program where she leads efforts to establish and better manage marine protected areas in Southeast Asia through close collaboration with local communities, NGOs, and governments. These efforts directly support the global initiative to protect 30% of our oceans by 2030. Silvia brings over a decade of marine advocacy in the nonprofit arena, including most recently from WildAid, where she co-developed the Earthshot Prize-winning program strategy that ultimately led her team to engage with nearly 100 partners and consultants in 16 countries.
Silvia, who is fluent in Spanish, has a Bachelor of Arts in communication from Stanford University and a Master of Arts in international environmental policy from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. She is currently a member of John Muir Health’s Patient & Family Advisory Committee. In her spare time, she loves traveling, writing, reading, yoga, and exploring California with her son.
